How mediation works

1. Initial Meeting and Issue Identification
The mediation begins with an organized discussion in which each party presents their concerns and goals. The mediator establishes confidentiality, neutrality, and the framework for productive dialogue.

2. Facilitated Negotiation and Evaluation of Options
Through guided conversation—either in joint sessions or private caucuses—the mediator assists parties in clarifying interests, addressing misunderstandings, and exploring potential solutions. The focus remains on cooperation, clarity, and problem-solving.

3. Final Agreement and Closure
Once agreement is reached, the mediator helps formalize a detailed, mutually acceptable resolution. This agreement reflects each party’s needs and serves as a sustainable, practical path forward.

Types of Mediation Services

Full-Day Mediation

Full-day mediation provides the time and space needed to thoroughly address complex or highly emotional disputes. This format allows both sides to fully explain their concerns, explore multiple solutions, and negotiate without the pressure of time constraints. Full-day sessions are ideal for cases involving significant financial, legal, or interpersonal issues, as they offer the greatest opportunity for thoughtful discussion and lasting resolution.

 Half-Day Mediation

Half-day mediation is a focused, efficient option for disputes that are more straightforward or for parties who already have a general idea of the issues they want to resolve. These sessions typically last 3–4 hours and are designed to move quickly toward identifying key concerns, exploring solutions, and reaching a practical agreement. It’s a great choice for individuals or businesses seeking resolution without committing to a full day.

 Zoom / Virtual Mediation

Virtual mediation offers flexibility, convenience, and accessibility for all parties—no travel required. Sessions are conducted through secure video conferencing, making it perfect for people with tight schedules, those living in different locations, or anyone who prefers a more comfortable, private setting. Zoom mediation can be scheduled as a full-day or half-day session and still provides the same level of professionalism, neutrality, and effectiveness as in-person mediation.
